11 WAYS TO SLAY YOUR DAY WHEN YOU ARE STUCK AT HOME
Are you stuck at home and not sure what to do? With the pandemic many of us are having to stay home more than usual. Sometimes it’s hard to stay motivated and productive. To help I put together a list 11 ways to slay your day when you are stuck at home.
HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED AND PRODUCTIVE WHEN YOU ARE STUCK AT HOME
1. GET ORGANIZED
If you are stuck at home you should take advantage of this opportunity to get yourself organized. There are so many awesome ways to get organized and do the things that you always wanted to do.
CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSETS AND DRAWERS
My closets get cluttered so easily especially when I am in a hurry. Before I know it my closets are cluttered and need some tlc. Take the time to declutter items that you don’t need and donate them. You can also organize your closet with bins. Break down big tasks into bite-size. I like to just ask myself “What can I get done in 15 minutes,” That keeps me from getting overwhelmed.
DECLUTTER YOUR ROOMS
Just like organizing your closets, a great way to get organized is by decluttering your rooms. If you have items taking up unnecessary space, it’s time to declutter it.
ORGANIZE YOUR EMAILS
I don’t know about you but having a full e-mail box really bothers me. Try to take the time to finally get through your emails.
2.SETTING GOALS
Another way of slaying your day when you are stuck at home is by setting goals for yourself. I love setting goals, it always motivates me and makes me feel organized. There are so many areas of your life to set goals for.
Always set goals for yourself
3. GET YOURSELF TOGETHER EVERY DAY
If you want to feel motivated and productive then take the time to wake up early and get ready every day. If I get dressed in clothes, not sweats and lounge around clothes, do my hair and makeup. I feel way more motivated and productive throughout the day.
4. MAKE A VISION BOARD
This is a great way to take advantage of your time stuck at home. it’s similar to goal setting. This is a bulletin board that you create using motivational quotes, images that inspire you, and more. It’s a board filled with things that you want to see in your future and things that inspire you to go after your goals. You can look at it every day for motivation.
5. LEARN SOMETHING NEW
Another great way to slay your day when you are stuck at home is by learning something new. Is there a hobby you have been wanting to learn but never had the time? Now is the perfect time to learn it! It’s also a great time to start an online business that you always thought about. Take an online course, read a good book.
6.CREATE A ROUTINE
I work from home so I am used to this mandatory “stay at home” thing. One thing I learned is that without proper routines in place, it’s very easy to become unproductive and unmotivated. Try to create a morning and nighttime routine to help you stay motivated and productive! I find it best to have a schedule.
7. DO SOMETHING THAT YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OFF
Is there a task that you have been putting off? Maybe laundry that needs to be done, paperwork that needs to be filled out, take the time to exercise like you always wanted to. Now is the time to do it! No more excuses.
8. CLEAN YOUR SPACE
Not only is it important to have an organized space but it’s equally important to have a clean space! Use this time stuck at home to clean your space. Go ahead and mop, sweep, dust, and clean any spaces you haven’t cleaned in a while.
9. JOURNAL AND WRITE IT OUT
Another way to slay your day when you are stuck at home is by journaling. You can learn a lot about yourself and what you want out of life through journaling. It can also help with anxiety and finding inner guidance and motivation.
10.CREATE A BUDGET
There is no better time than now to create a budget. Especially during times of uncertainty.
11. SET BOUNDARIES
If you want to stay motivated while you are stuck at home, it’s important to set boundaries. This is especially important if you work from home. I find that it’s so easy to get caught up in what you are working on and you forget to take breaks. Setting boundaries helps you so you are not focusing on one thing for too long.
It also keeps you focused on productive work so you don’t get off tasks for too long. I like to use a timer when I’m working actually, to make sure that I’m utilizing my time properly. Sometimes you do need that binge watch netflix downtime and that’s ok.
I hope you found these tips helpful!! And hopefully, you are now on your way to slay your day!!
