My daily spiritual practice

People often ask me what my daily spiritual practice is, what I do to remain so calm and balanced, some say they can see a peace about me. My daily spiritual practice starts with connecting to my inner spirit within (which is connecting with source/God/the universe. Over the past 15 years, this has become the most important thing that I could do every day. This gives me everything that I could possibly need to live my best life including the right mindset.

Gratitude

It starts with gratitude for the things in my life that I already have. I do this upon awakening when my eyes first open before my feet hit the floor. Followed by “What is your will for me today Father God?” Then I get my self a cup of coffee, feed my dogs, talk to my Husband for a few minutes before he goes off to work. Then I wait for instruction from my inner spirit, source, God within, which is all connected.

Prayer

Saying a prayer something like “God I am your vessel, how do you wish to use me today?” Being open to guidance from my higher power. Writing in my journal, preferably every morning until… Until my head is clear. It might be just a few lines in my basic composition book, that’s what I use, no fancy journals needed. Just pen on paper or I write in google docs on my laptop. Writing continuously whatever comes to mind, unedited. I write whatever comes up. It sorts my thoughts, gets all the wrong thoughts out, all the gunk out and helps me to think clearly. This gets me in touch with my inner spirit, God, source.

Direction

I always receive direction, even if it’s a simple word, or a few words, it’s always guidance for the day. Consistently thanking, appreciating, opening myself to guidance, staying connected and remembering my true purpose. It’s important to rely on the support and take the steps needed and directed to me. Connecting first sets the tone for the entire day and when done every day it sets the tone for your entire life. Connecting and staying connected. There is nothing that you can’t be, do or have in this lifetime if you follow and connect with your unlimited source. You can find that unlimited source of everything inside of yourself. You find it by going inward.

Taking guided action

Taking guided action, saying simple prayers, meditating, asking, receiving, not being afraid, having faith, will lead you to a beautiful life of your dreams. If you don’t have faith than ask for it, pray to have faith, pray to believe, pray to have help with prayer and meditation. Whatever you could possibly need help with, you can pray for it.

I wasn’t always this constantly connected, although I always felt spiritually intuned and knew how to pray from an early age. You can start right where you are, even if this is something totally new to you. There was a time when I felt off balanced a lot, always struggling, feeling behind and late all the time, really scrambling. It didn’t feel good at all.

My life came to a point where I just didn’t want that anymore, I couldn’t have that in my life, it was to much stress. I knew there was a different way of living for me and I knew that I had access to it. So I prayed, and prayed and looked to God, and went within and connected and learned and grew. I had great faith and I knew how to pray and connect. I learned meditation and listened and kept connecting every day, all day or several times a day without fail, and incredible healing began to take place in every area of my life. My life is almost unrecognizable.

Connecting, really connecting within is by far the most important thing you can learn. You’ll know when you’ve connected with God/Source/Universe/your spirit within because it’s not the ego speaking. This isn’t anything that you would even think of with your unlimited human mind. It’s genius, it’s brilliant, it’s true love, it’s a strength, it’s non-judgemental, it’s grace, it’s bigger than us. A higher vibration, and that’s how you know it’s good, it brings you up on a higher level with it.

So to sum it up My daily spiritual practice goes like this…Thank, ask, listen, take divinely guided action, have faith. Repeat. Everyday all day.

Thank- Find a few things to be grateful for upon awakening. Really feel the appreciation. This will open you up for more goodness.
Ask- What can I do today to serve you, God?
Listen- Tune in and listen, quiet the mind so you can hear, write it down.
Take action- Do what you were divinely guided to do. Don’t be afraid and if you are push through it.
Have faith- Have faith and believe, be patient.

This is what I’ve found to be most beneficial for me in my daily spiritual practice, and I hope it works for you too.

Love and Light,

Maria
