Woman Blogger, writing in her journal at her desk with laptop, pondering why she started a blog

MY PROCESS:

I’ve always enjoyed writing, expressing myself through pen on paper. For me it’s a release, it clears my head, sorts my thoughts. I feel organized when I do this, and when I create lists. It helps me to dream and focus on what I want my life to look like even if it’s in the distant future. Putting it on paper frees my mind to think of other things and then I can always go back to my lists and look at my goals again.

Writing is something I’ve done my whole life ever since I was a young girl, and I read a lot of books mostly self- help, self- development, inspirational. Learning, expanding and growing as a person is important to me. Biographies are interesting to me because I love to see how an ordinary person becomes extraordinary. Living the best life that I can is important to me although it’s not always easy, life is hard sometimes. I always say that it is for everyone at one time or another, in one way or another. Life can be a struggle sometimes.

MY START:

I attended online writing classes through a local college, read books on writing and the creative process. In  writers workshops I learned a great deal from amazing writers. I’m compelled to put my writing out in the world. There’s been a lot of prayer on my part for guidance and this is what I feel I was directed to do.

I was writing a book but decided to go into the blog direction first, which has been really good so far. It’s been a learning experience, to say the least as far as the technical side of it goes, but it’s been good. Starting my blog has been fun so far especially the creative aspect, which is the part that I like the best.

MY WHY:

Helping people, encouraging, uplifting and inspiring others is what I like to do.  We all really want to live our best versions of ourselves. I want to shed a little light to someone that needs it. I’ve had a lot of amazing teachers through my life especially through the many books I’ve read, and if it wasn’t for those great leaders I sometimes don’t think I would have made it. During downtime, I often clung onto a word.  Appreciative that those teachers took the time and initiative to write the books that they did, so I could read them when I needed them the most.

WHAT I TEACH:

It’s easy to lose yourself in everyday overwhelm, and when life throws you around a little it can get even worse. It’s important to have skills, tools, tactics that you can use for yourself that will help you. everyone’s different so what works for one won’t work for all. Find what works for you. I think the most important thing for me is to stop everything and center myself. You have to know what this feels like because when life gets tough you”ll need to come here to rejuvenate.

Do you ever feel like there’s more to life than what you’re living? At my site www.mariasibilla.com I inspire others to connect to your spirit by going inward, to experience true peace and abundance of love, healing, guidance, true purpose. This life-changing experience is what I’ve done and continue to do. My mission is to encourage others to do the same.

MY BACKGROUND:

My most rewarding venture was raising my three sons together with my husband for the last 33 years. Creating a home and a family and beautiful memories, traditions and love. We have a strong bond. I have been a hairstylist for about 30 years and it has been a truly enjoyable business to be in. I always liked making people look and feel good. The creative part of it was fun through hair cutting, coloring, and styling especially special occasion hair. There’s also a relationship that you build with your client, especially when they’ve been with you for a long time, one of confidant, and counselor. It’s been an education in learning about people, and a privilege. I’ve met so many interesting people along the way.

MY VISION:

My future plans and dreams for my writing/blog are to help other people to learn, grow, and heal. I think it helps to have someone in your corner. I’ve had some bumps in the road and the best way that I overcame them was by, connecting to my spirit daily, changing my thoughts, allowing myself to receive and listen to divine guidance. These are all in posts on my blog in more detail. I would love for you to take a look, you might find something meaningful to you.

Love and Light,

Maria
